Granting Access to Your Facebook Business Assets

In order for us to work together on your business within Facebook, you will need to grant us access to your Facebook account. This post covers how to grant access to Innervative Strategies (the parent company of Bricks2Clicks) to essential elements of your account.

1. Log in to Facebook Business Manager

Start by signing into your Facebook Business Manager here: business.facebook.com. You may also see it referred to as Facebook Business Suite.

If you do not already have a Business Manager account, you’ll need to create one. I won't cover that here, since Facebook has a Guide covering this, which also explains roles and much more that you should be aware of.

2. Navigate to Business Settings

Once you are signed in, navigate to the "Business Settings" page:

Business Manager > More Tools > Business Settings

Using the navigation menu on the left, select More Tools to expand this menu and find Business Settings.

3. Add Partner Access to Your Business Account

A new window should open, this time with a white navigation panel on the left.

If you can do this step, we can take care of the rest as needed (and you get to skip steps 4-6 below). Under Users, navigate to  Partners.

Business Settings > Users > Partners

Partners - Users - Business Settings

To the right of this, you will see an Add button, select the option to "Give a partner access to your assets".

Add Partner - Business Settings

A dialogue box will open.

In the "Partner business ID" box, enter 524130538259314

Add New Partner Dialogue - Business Settings

Hit Next, and you will be presented with a multi-panel dialogue box.

Click through each of these options, granting full control to your assets (when they exist):

  • Page
  • Ad Account
  • Product Catalogue
  • Pixel
  • Instagram Account
  • Commerce Account

Don't select "save changes" just yet. Select the next option in the left panel, Ad Accounts:

Keep going this way until you've touched & assigned access to each of the assets we'll be working on.

Add Partner to Product Catalogue - Business Settings
Add Partner to Pixel - Business Settings
Add Partner to Instagram Account - Business Settings
Add Partner to Commerce Account - Business Settings

Et voila! That should do it. Select "Save Changes" in the bottom right.

If successful, you can skip to step 7, which is to let us know this has been done.

If not, please carry on...

4. Add Partner Access to Your Business Page

Next, add us as a partner to your Facebook Business Page.

Business Settings > Accounts > Pages

Using the navigation menu on the left, select Accounts to expand this menu and select Pages. Select your business page in the panel to the right of the menu.

*The Bricks 2 Clicks page is used as an example below; this should be your page selected wherever you see our logo.

To the left of this, you will see some page details. Select the Assign Partners button. A prompt will pop up, select Assign partner by Business ID.

* If you don't have an ad account, please refer to Facebook's Guide to set one up, assuming you intend to run Facebook Ads.

6. Add Partner Access to Your Facebook Pixel

If you already have a Facebook Pixel, please also grant access to it, as it provides a critical link between your website and Facebook.

Still in Business Settings, below in the Accounts section, open the Data Sources, and select Pixel.

Business Settings > Data Sources > Pixel

Select your pixel from the panel that opens to the right.

Select Pixel - Business Settings

In the next panel to the right, you will see your Pixel details, with a button to "Assign Partner". Same as above, select this, but there's no prompt this time. Adding a Partner by Business ID is the only option at this point.
